Fondation Dr Julien

Biography

Known as the father of community social pediatrics, Dr. Julien dedicates his life to caring for society’s most vulnerable children, helping to put the sparkle back in their eyes. Since 1971, his experience working with different cultures has shaped his strong conviction that it takes a village to raise a child. Today, his model of care inspires communities at home and around the world. He attributes this success to the support of the public, governments, field teams and valued partners.

« The success of the patient-physician relationship is due in large part to the physician’s attitude towards the patient, which is the sum of their knowledge, skills, listening ability, empathy and caring in a clinical setting. This integral respect forms the basis of our community social pediatrics approach. »
