Maude Julien got her nursing diploma in 1993, followed by 2 bachelors degrees in education and in sciences. To perfecte her knowledge, she completed a microprogram: Master in pharmaceutic product development. In 1981, after a 2 year stay in Comores islands, Maude realises some populations are more vulnerable than others. It is at that moment her desire to save others emerges. That desire will guide her carreer choice.
In March 2010, she created the first CSPC in the Québec region. Since that day, she pursues her work to promote social pediatrics. In addition to helping children from her community, she is caring for her own family, being a mother of 4.
« By founding a social pediatrics centre, I contributed to building a strong network in Québec. My dream is that the community social pediatrics movement continues to grow and develop according to the vision and convictions of Dr Julien. Our children are our most precious riches, we need to take care of them collectively. »
