Center description

Founded in 2009, L’Étoile is the first community-based pediatric center in Montérégie. A certified member of the Dr. Julien Foundation network, it annually welcomes over 400 children.

L’Étoile offers quality pediatric services to children aged 0-18 at risk or in vulnerable situations to ensure their well-being and promote their optimal development. The multidisciplinary team (medical and psychosocial) provides tailored, personalized services to meet the needs of children in the community.

Located in the heart of Old St-Jean, the clinic is designed to be a welcoming, safe, and stimulating space. It is situated close to neighborhood schools and family living areas, so everyone can access it by foot, fostering a sense of belonging for the children and their families to the services and resources of L’Étoile.

Because ALL vulnerable children deserve the services they need, regardless of where they live, L’Étoile has created one of the most impactful and innovative projects in the MRC of Haut-Richelieu. By transforming a brand-new school bus into a mobile medical and social clinic, affectionately called “Le Vaisseau,” L’Étoile Mobile allows the medical and psychosocial team to reach and provide the same high-quality services to vulnerable children living in the more remote municipalities of the MRC of Haut-Richelieu.
